Description
The hours immediately following calving are critical to a cow’s health and productivity. Fresh cows face increased demands for calcium, fluids, and energy as they begin lactation. If these needs are not met, cows are at greater risk for metabolic disorders that can negatively impact milk production, reproduction, and overall performance.
Freshen Up is formulated to proactively support fresh cows by combining four calcium sources with electrolytes, vitamins, and trace minerals. Calcium sources include Calcium lactate, Tricalcium phosphate, Calcium propionate, Calcium carbonate. Each source is absorbed at a different rate to provide both immediate and extended calcium availability. This balanced nutritional package helps cows recover from calving, restore fluid balance, and transition more smoothly into early lactation.
Freshen Up supports fresh cow health by helping reduce the risk of milk fever (clinical hypocalcemia), subclinical hypocalcemia, retained placenta, ketosis, dehydration following calving, and poor appetite in early lactation.
Freshen Up can be mixed into water and offered free choice, administered as an oral drench, top-dressed onto feed, and mixed into a total mixed ration (TMR).
